 meaningful week! firstly, a reply to my previous post,i was JUST JOKING about gigolo,please relax guys! anyway this has been a meaningful week for me. on tues, i went to back to working 2 of my previous jobs, tourguiding for Japanese students and tele-surveyor. i must say i have really lost touch on Japanese, it's been 6months since i really use them, somemore my group this time is so sianz, can't really communicate well with them. but still it's one of my best job and i love it. i enjoyed interacting with people from other countries, learning more about them, bringing them to various places like arab street and chinatown, sharing different cultures and customs. i also realized that i need to continue my Japanese real soon before i lose them all haha and after that tourguiding, i went back to acorn as a tele-surveyor, it's not that bad this time round since i calling people who wants to do survey, so minus off the nags and scoldings, it's still enjoyable except that it's so boring repeating the same questionnaire haha. but i seriously need money!!! on thurs,chow's birthday celebrated along with tong and justin. our present was one of the best combination he has ever gotten in his life i guess, anyway grow up chow! you are 20 now! it's still okay for me to be childish until december hahaha. went breaking-fast with my malay friends on fri, it's cool to see how their culture is so unique and special. i was told to fast with them anyway, it's really a great experience. the thing about fasting is not that you had to do with no food, it's about having to do with no water. i started at like 10am plus and all the way up to 1906 haha, since i was out the night before i went home to sleep in the morning,and my breath stinks as i wake up in the afternoon. i was so tempted to have a sip, but still i survived!=) broke-fast at some malay restaurant at upper chai chee, it's like those restaurant in m'sia where you can eat halal 'zhi char' at a reasonable price. it's really a wonderful experience. one more interesting thing about this week is MAHJONG WEEK! i have been playing on thurs night, fri night and afternoon. i call this the MAHJONG CAMP! hahaha i am re-discovering the game, i have not been playing it for quite some time until recently, somehow my passion and love for mahjong has just come back,i began to see the magic and wonder in it. it's like a perfection of the oriental arts. i wonder how it is first started, every rules and playing styles just fit in perfectly. why are there 4 tiles for each card, so that when one 'pongs' the remaining one is useless, and sometimes 2 person can have the same 2 tiles and then waiting endlessly for the other one to throw it out. mahjong has in fact amazed not only asians, but caucasians from europe and even america, evolving into different styles yet the fundamental playing style is still the same. as you play on, the more you will learn. how the person discard will show what kind of tiles is he playing. i am loving it more and more, i just can't get enough of mahjong! i want to keep on playing mahjong! i LOVE mahjong! seriously please ask me out for more mahjong! i am on a magical journey on rediscovering maj-a perfection of the oriental arts=) -your smile keeps me warm whack / 9:13 AM |
