 the amazing race! over 4 continents and 10 countries.....the race around the world is indeed amazing!sadly we have come to an end of the amazing race 12....it's been a long time since i hooked on to this show....i remember being a fan of this show when it just begun it's first few seasons when i was in sec 4.....i still remember how fascinated i was by the show and were constantly talking about it but after a few seasons,my enthusiasm started to wear off and i didn't watch any amazing race until this current season..... i think it started few weeks back when i had nothing to do and since it's the first episode for this season, why not just watch it i thought....and after that very 1st episode.....it all came back! my passion,my enthusiasm and simply my interest came rushing back to me.......i was once again fascinated by the creation of this game......a race around the world with various tasks and obstacles......a race that neither guarantee the fittest to win nor the smartest to win....it's a race about teamwork,bonding,being street-wise and of course physically and mentally fit for any situation and task given in the race.....after the first episode, i was once again hooked and i was even more impressed by Ronald & Christina.....an asian american father and daughter team.they did not do very well in the first few legs but you can notice a steady rise in their pace and rankings as the game moves on...... maybe i was attracted to them at first by their asian identity(well i am actually very proud of my asian heritage) but as i watch their performance.....i just got more and more impressed and i really like this team alot,more than any other team in the whole amazing race season 1-12 haha way to go man! and so....we have finally came to an end for this season of the race....i will seriously miss this season alot,it just bothers me when i know that i am not able to watch this great season anymore cause this season is simply the BEST! especially with Ron and Chris around.....i will miss the feeling of having to get home before the show every wed and the adrenaline i had even when i was just watching the show.....Ron and Chris was in the FINAL 3!and they have been leading throughout the final leg but stumbled upon the road block which give TK and Rachel a few minutes lead which eventually leads to their victory.....it was really very close.....Chris was so close in solving the puzzle,but her doubt on whether a man is an animal or not prevented her from solving it and instead delaying it giving TK and Rachel,but damn they were just soooo close!but they were still happy the fact that they are able to complete this race with each other having to become a better family member to each other,strengthening their bonds and of course sharing this great experience with each other...quoted from Ron "although i didn't get to finish with 1st place but i know i came in with 1st place in my daughter's heart" and from Chris "the thing that kept me going was to know that my dad is receiving me at the top" when she struggles to climb a glacier wall......i think that's very touching and amazing....seriously we can learn so many things in the amazing race.....we can learn more about the world,traveling,lifestyles and cultures of different people and also moral values and leadership qualities found in some teams......the amazing race rawks...it's one of the best show around i will be looking for season 13 although i am pretty convinced this is the best one....haha amazing race is great, it's and AMAZING race after all=)  here's a pic on this great team that i love hahah RONALD & CHRISTINA!:) whack / 8:18 AM Friday, January 18, 2008
a tribute to 黄金路 this is it.....this is the best,the best of the best.......over 25 years of broadcasting....mediacorp has once again create a phenomena that one thought was lost after shaung tian zhi zun(the unbeatables),HUANG JIN LU(黄金路) IS THE BEST! i can't believe i can be so crazy over this show......it has all the elements of a big production,the plot is absolutely interesting and realistic.....it clearly depict how the rivalry of 2 brothers from a grudge from the last generation turn into a no way out situation. one being a morally upright gangster and the other being a scheming ruthless scum cop......i wonder how the ending will be like..... if the cop is a good guy and the gangster is a bad guy...of course the good always wins and the cop will win and live happily ever after....but this time the cop is a bad guy yet the gangster is a good guy....but the ending cannot be allowing the gangster to live happily ever after because afterall he did got involve in some crimes and killing....so how will the story ends...........................i can't wait for monday.....the day of judgment...... i have been restricting myself so that i can reach home at 9 everyday to watch huang jin lu and so it will be the same for monday....i just can't wait...at the same time...sad to know that it will be over soon.....i can't help but to really feel that lee nanxing is one hell of an actor....friggin good in no matter what kind of roles.....and when he gets on that big suit of him...he certainly have that 王者 look especially with his old school oily combed backwards hair haha i think he's just amazing.......and of course all the cast of 黄金路 too........ i finally realize something.......黄金路 is not just about any path of gold.....all along have you seen any road made of gold in the show?no right.....it finally dawns on me that it's about the 路 of the 黄 family and 金 family................thus 黄金路.....the cross path of both families.... that's what the show is about and that explains the title.....whoa!revelation just before the last episode...... i can't help but be impressed and mesmerized by the wonders of it..... i will certainly miss 黄金路 and also amazing race ending this wed....anyway i will be rooting for christina and ronald....love them since 1st episode......hahah it will be a sad week for me....haiz....good bye my love,黄金路 and the amazing race...... i will never forget how much of an impact you guys have caused in my life....thank you so much!!!!!!!!  presenting the best drama ever,黄金路...... whack / 7:18 AM Monday, January 07, 2008
happy new year 2008! haha happy new year!happy 2008!haha i know it's kinda late but still hahahah happy new year.....and let this year be a greater year than the previous one and of course let's work harder for this year,everyone!!!!!!!i am actually abit lost about some issues in 2007 but well my mind's made up and i know what i shall do and what i want to do hahaha and of course work hard for it though it seems kinda impossible.....haha i think i need to adopt a stronger and more optimistic attitude though 'the difference between wanting to be at the top and wanting to surpass the top' i find this line quite meaningful,let's say there are 2 contenders for a championship, one of them admires the champion and wants to be like the champion while the other impressed by the champion yet he wants to surpass him.....the difference in attitudes can actually determine the winner, you wouldn't want to be at the top, you would want to surpass the top........isn't it....hahaha my new eve celebration is something like well fun in a way but also abit sianz,we didn't do much partying though haha but well at least there was something to do haha and thanks to some performance by koh justin as usual!watch some fireworks at marina and then went on to clarke quay partying alil' and chill till morning haha ain't that bad eh anyway happy new year people!      some pics from our christmas bbq at xuan's house hahah!
